The heat is probably why it hasn't been posted here yet. That being said, the alpha-a-bility of it is certainly attractive. Here's a potential alternative that drops the Ferro and a bit of armor, reduces the engine to a 295, but gains an extra 2 DHS as well as a spare ton of Ammo. (Or if you like, you can trade that added ton of Ammo for yet another DHS, your choice.) I do like the concept.
What about a compromise? The high mounts on the LA allows for some very nice hill peeking, so I'd love to use them here as well.
5/5, The Misery has long been popular as a dead-side 'Mech, and this build is one of the best for that, notably for players who (like myself) aren't really into PPCs.
Thanks for resurrecting this thread. I have adapted the original to the new-tech and it looks a decent amount of coolness better than the original. Especially if skilled right. To be tested this evening!
Personally I'd drop the TC for another ton of ammo, but yeah, I like the look of that with the LE and the extra DHS!
Similar, but you can fit more stuff and armor if you drop the AC20 to a UAC10. Can even switch to a light engine. Same damage with a double tap, but more range and ammo.
This variant (adjusted to new tech and quirks) with TC1 and an extra DHS, but no AMS: Same build with LE310 and one additional DHS:
