Very good ammo count, excellent cooling, good range, good synergy, good speed.
Overall, your everyday gauss vomit build for mid to long range engagements

 

This is what I have on mine, and it is confirmed good. Not an 'easy' mech to play, but one of the best builds you can put on the -1.

Only other options I think for the MCII-1 are:
4xERPPC
2xGR, 2xERPPC
2xUAC10, 2xERPPC (or maybe LB10X's with JJ's)
