    Please change title to:
    MAL-1R "the democrat" (4x SRM, 2x AC20, STD280)
Please post smurfy link. You need to ass "s" after http to make link show.

    My guess:

I think it is way too slow though, better bump up engine.

I tried this but I'm terrible with Mauler brawlers. It's one hell of a weapon combo though - if you're good at keeping these things alive in close quarters you should definitely give this a try.

Fixed the title for you. Please refer to the FAQ on how to properly name a thread. Weapons are always used starting with the highest damage ones. @enileph - you should know this by now. ^_^

    4/5,
I have to admit I seldomly had so much fun playing an assault mech. Ask the members of my unit about me giggling while playing this thing. The pinpoint alpha strike is simply ridiculous.

However, despite those huge shield arms, the mech feels a bit soft when in the heat of a batte, so while mounting a punch able to embarass an AS7, you have to work quite a bit to stay alive so all the firepower matters.

    5/5,
I was looking for a good "money maker" build for my Resistance Mauler and found this loadout.

I've changed the engine for better speed and acceleration (you can poke sometimes), stripped some armor for more ammunitions and additional cooling.

If you are able to get in range without being shot or nailed, you can solo pretty much anything except a couple other brawling assaults, like the Spirit Bear, Spooky Atlas or Scorch with LBX-20s.

If you are able to close in, just fire your weapons (AC-20s must be chain-fired), tank / torso twist, repeat untill either you or your enemy explodes. Best usage would be to wait your enemie around the corner or using your team mates as bait: you will not risk getting primaried and you will be able to unleash tremendous amount of damage once you are able to hit them.

Struggled with this variant :banghead:. I had to dump the XL engine b/c otherwise you don't have the slots to do anything meaningful with it. The loadout looks vanilla, but it's a blast! Tons of dmg and many kills :)

    3/5,
Ran it for a while, but it was too slow to get in range of the weapon loadout. Found that AC10s worked better in general, or making it a filthy lurmboat to make best use of the quirks and then just stay at first/second line at 250ish meters.

I don't own a mauler, but I didn't let that stop me from posting a build. This one is different enough from yours that it probably would have been kicked to another thread anyway. I call it The Progressive because it follows the same principals, but introduces some untested ideas.
