MAL-1R: Kintaro's Big Brother (4x LRM15, 2x MPL, STD300)

Like the kintaro 18 but if you have an LRM 15 CDR module you fire just as constant but with 15s instead of 5s
MPL for back up. I chainfire the 15s and it does well

 

I tried it out and I really like it. This is my first build using lrms and even though its just not my style, I still have a ton of fun with it.
Your proposal is also very newcomer friendly, meaning its cheap and easy to build.
I have however two problems with this thing:
1. Even with mastery it runs pretty damn hot on a normal map (rate of fire is just THAT great xD)
2. I constantly find myself running out of ammo. 0.0 (rain fun over ? noooo!)
So i took a second look at the design and tried to mitigate the drawbacks a bit while emphasizing its strenghts.
This is what I came up with:


It still runs a bit hot but with the artemis you get improved hits for the heat.
You loose a great deal of survivabilty with the xl325er but it boosts your turn and twistrate a bit and pushes you just over 60kph with speedtweak. (Helps with the repositioning too)
Its a lot more expensive than your design but my guess is ppl can start with yours and if they like it they can upgrade it to this one.
Ammo holds out a signifcantly longer time now.
Though the survivabilty might be an issue for some people, this design is a firesupport mech. You shouldnt be trading shots facing your opponents but hang back and bring the rain where its needed.
And if you run out of ammo the 2 medpulses just wont do much when you are lumbering around with 55kph. They are ( And im sure you intended it as such) just a means to shoo away pesky lights that break through your lines and try to gnaw on your back.
So my point is surviving past your ammobins wont give you much in terms of battlevalue hence the upgrade to an xl.

P.S. you can of course go full endurance and drop the artemis for another 4 tons of lrm ammo (might be a viable approach for Community Warfare)

I went full long range with mine.



You could drop the heat-sink and a ton of ammo and put Arty on it, however since I constantly run out of Ammo, I prefer to have more missiles.
