This is such an obvious build I was astonished noone posted this already....including me. I used to do 2x PPC, 2x UAC 5 and 2x SRM 4 on my 1P until I watched the LORDs bringing nearly a lance of those to a match of Community Warfare / Faction Play on Boreal Reach yesterday. I checked the quirks while the match was still running and immdiately switched my build to this one afterwards - and what a beast it is! You can easily switch the LLas for the ER versions for even more range as the heat management will still be very easy. I myself prefer the shorter duration on the regular LLas because it allows rolling damage more effectively. The STD 285 feels about right for this build as the Gauss Rifles have such a beautiful range. You can easily skip the AMS and half a ton of Gauss ammo to mount a STD 295 (see: MAL-1P), but as this only adds 2 kp/h and the AMS supports the tankiness of the mech I prefer the 285. All of the Maulers can do this, but the 1P is best because of the 15% ballistic CD quirk. The recuced energy heat comes as an icing on top: MAL-1P Additional Structure L/R Arm +8 Additional Structure L/R Torso +10 Ballistic Weapon Cooldown 15% PPC Heat Generation -20% Energy Weapon Heat Generation -10% PPC Velocity15% Turn Rate 5% Torso Pitch Speed 10% Torso Yaw Speed 10% Here is my 1P by the way. I bought them the moment they became available for CBills and gave one-shot camos to both the 1P and the MX90. Didn't regret that for a second yet... I recognise mounting both lasers to the left arm might be superior because that way you can use the right side (including the RT because the GR is CASEd) as a shield side and still will have a substantial amount of firepower left once it's gone, but I somehow do like symmetrical builds, so my current build mounts 1 LLas on each of the arms. In addition to this, I still train myself not to favor the right side when rolling damage but to use both sides equally.
