Velocity/heat gen for PPCs, CD for AC2s. If XL is too scary, I guess you can try this terribly slow thing: If you run the STD engine build with LPLs instead of the PPCs you'll get enough space for FF alongside decent heat dissipation, and you can crank it up to a STD 285. With PPCs you're using up a little too much crit slots for that one extra DHS outside of your engine which is too hot IMO.
Long range sniper which mixes the pinpoint and DPS of AC2 with the power of the IS PPC. The PPCs gets a nice +30% PPC velocity, which means it will travel at 1500 m/s, 500 m/s less than the AC2. Despite the fact you will also get some heat generation bonus to the PPCs, it should run quite hot, but it should be reliable. You can remove a single DHS and replace it with a TC1 for improved projectile velocity and accuracy... It should be a nice addition to this mech. EDIT: merged from another thread. After some games this build is solid and very fun to play, but not optimal, exceptional or "meta". Best used in long range maps, but mid-range it will struggle against more alpha-centric builds.
New tech update! Each regular PPC is replaced with a pair of LPPCs. Be careful for ghost heat, but it should look pretty dange awesome.
How did you do with this thing on the battlefield? I am intrigued by it as a weird mixed AC2/light PPC DPS suppression mech. It has the quirks for it but I am skeptical on its actual effectiveness!
It works quite fine. I've updated the build with a more sustainable LE300. @Excalibaard you could merge my thread with this one, I didn't noticed this thread back then. MAL-1P "Mixed Pinpoints" (4xAC2, 2xPPC, LE300)
@CarloArmato Done, thanks for the heads-up! In the future I'm gonna see if there is a way to mark certain posts in a thread for things like new and updated builds. @ShooterMcGavin80 I haven't played it like this yet, my 1P is currently an MRM boat. Seeing this again makes me certainly want to try again though
