Clan UACs have always been considered better, because of higher burst damage/dps, lower crit space, equal weight, etc. But what if you don't like gambling, or just have bad luck all the time? Clan regular ACs are still good. "But you can just fire the UACs once and they're still better than regular ACs and you keep the possibility to double tap!" True in a way, but I've run with a Kodiak with 4x cAC10. The heat of a regular AC10 is 2 instead of 3.5, meaning it's MUCH more heat-efficient, especially if you'd double tap the UAC for 7 total heat. Just the security and higher efficiency, might make it worth it. Just play the build and see if you want to exchange for cUAC10s orsomething. okbye.
The latter is true, but I just recall a kodiak with regular clan ACs (not UACs) that fired less shells than I was used to and was reliable, I still have to check it in-game though.
regular cAC don't have a pellet count of 2 (though they totally should TBH, with lower crit chance to make up for the amount of projectiles). They're still much cooler than the UAC versions, making it a great weapon for sustained fire! Edited the OP and made an LAMS version
