Dead simple! First game in this build: 5K, 5A, 927 damage, win I use all six weapon groups, but a suggestion for those who only use three: 1. RA+RT lasers 2. LA+RT lasers 3. all lasers chain fire Fire one group then the other - the first group will always fire 3 lasers. You can alpha, it will take you to about 70% heat.
5/5, I'll admit, I haven't tried this build on the mech listed here. But I did slightly modify it for my BH2, and it works wonders. Consistently getting 350+ damage out on losses, and getting 600-800 on victories where I didn't screw up. Only thing that I dislike about it is the XL, since I usually try to zombie with my MADs. Here's an example of it on the BH2 at Caustic Valley
As soon as I got a good look at the model, I thought those big jet engine things on the sides would be a liability but it seems pretty XL-friendly. Definitely worth the trade off for firepower in this build. I have kept the standard in one of my 3Rs though, because I wanted to keep one close to stock, and it has kept me alive & fighting a couple of times. What do you have on your BH2? Are you using the head lazor? I would have liked to make use of the missiles on the 5D but for some reason I couldn't play it well (if I try again I'll use HctPeace69's Peace Blaster build, it looks ace). In the meantime, this one's working well for me. Gave me my best CW game so far, during Tukayyid 2 weekend - 2600+ damage along with a BNC-3M and SHD-2K (the Commando didn't make it onto the field XD ) and the MAD-5D was responsible for about 1400 of that. I've never done close to that in a single mech before.
Yep, I'm sticking with this build... 1070, 923, 1063 damage (TK'd my unit buddy Air & didn't even notice, sorry! poor little PB)
OK, 'scuse the bragging if you will, just want to show that the build is good Got me a top 3 finish in the recent leaderboard challenge: http://mwomercs.com/tournaments?t=201512mechs#row-15
I'm really not fond of hot builds in general but this is alright for me. I don't mind it heating up quick if it dissipates quick. A lot of people seem to like the 4LPL build though, which you could do with a decent speed increase or maybe a standard engine, so there's an alternative if you don't like 5.
1st match: 650 damage, 6 kills 2nd match: 740 damage, 3 kills I haven't played in months. This build is a monster.
5/5, 5 stars for a lot of reasons. 1) Firepower 2) Keeps default engine (economical) 3) Good use of crit placement 4) Just enough armor
