    Group 2: 2x SLas (Linked)
Group 3: 3x MPlas (Chain, for if you are high on heat, I rarely use it but I like to have it Just In Caseā„¢)

Feel free to swap the side the lasers are on if you prefer to peek out of the right, I generally like peeking out from the left.

    Why this build?
Well, I'm still kind of experimenting with it but I originally came up with it as a poke/peek build. The MPLas give you a significant range boost (although still pretty short range) over SPLas. And the MPLas simply deal more damage faster than the MLas making them ideal for a minimum exposure peek and shoot. With the 6x MLas build you can do a similar playstyle but you (if you don't want to get shot [and you don't!]) often end up with partial laser durations doing damage. The MPLas give you a better chance at dealing full duration damage.

The two SLas are for "oh crap" situations where you are running or engaged by other lights or if you just need a harder hitting alpha. While it is lacking DPS compared to the 6x SPLas build, it has the same alpha damage, so it can still hit pretty hard if it needs to.

    Some Alternative Build Ideas:
I've also tried a single SPLas instead of the two SLas, it works okay too. Whichever you prefer.

You could also get a slightly larger engine for more speed and get rid of the SLas if you prefer.

This can work...I won't rate it since I haven't run this specific build, but I ran 2 MPL/2SLas with an XL190 on my Pirate's Bane (with ECM as well, naturally) for a long time. Worked just fine for me there, can't see why adding another MPL would make it worse. Although I hate going under 169.3 KPH in a Locust ;)

~160kph (XL180) is fine, but it's true 150kph starts to be "slow".

Anyway, I agree with Revostae about pulse lasers being vastly superior to standard lasers on the Locusts.
