Good build, you can also use lb5x instead of uAC5 for more crits but less damage. Also I sugest puting the ammo in the arms, clan mechs have CASE in them meaning if you have an ammo explosion it will blow up the arm but not the torso, the same applies to leg but losing a leg is usually fatal while losing an arm only removes some weapons. Also you should add arm actuators, they are free and let you move your arms to the sides.
Very nice build but I do not think it is a good idea to remove armor in the legs... I play mine with 2t UAC5 ammo, a TC1 and full armor.
Just bought kit foxes, was having issues with a LPL mg build so I built this, more to my play style, Adveraging 600 dmg per match with at least 1 or 2 kills.
I feel really bad rating 5/5 when the OP doesn't use the full tonnage (as if the KitFox wasn't light enough) and packs so little ammo. But UAC/5 and 3 MLas is the best build I found on the KitFox, so I'll pretend the reference build was this one:
I feel more comfortable with normal ACs when they arent paired, cause i hate to get my single and main weapon jammed, lets say, 8 out of 10 secs in a bad luck strike. Its quite mixed in parts to get as little negative quirk as possible while trying to get the combo i feel better in: 2 JumpJets.
I still love LRMs. Thats why i have installed a lrm5 with a half ton of ammo on it. Sorry but the smurfy link by me seems not to work...
I have tried both the AC5 and UAC5 versions of this build, and I can say without a doubt the UAC5 version is much better. Yes, it jams on me, a lot, and it may come at a bad time, but you just deal with that. I don't get nearly the damage nor kills from the regular AC5 version, even though it does not jam. I think the burst DPS when the UAC5 does not jam is just worth. I get a lot of kills as a light with this build and bring awesome team support with the ECM.
I've been running the UAC5 version and it is useful at all ranges. My favorite solo drop version so far.
