JM6-S "Third Arm of the Law" (2x Gauss, 1x ERLLas, XL235)

    Last days I played various double gauss heavies, and that's my favourite. For two main reasons:

    1/ the ERLL is a great complement to the gauss. It's not as powerful as 4 MLs at close range, but it's efficient at sniping range where you should be. The damage is not pin-pointed like the gauss, but it still makes an nice addition. Beware it can give away your location if you're trying to be sneaky.

    2/ compared to the cataphract, the high weapon placement makes it very easy to snipe without exposing too much, wich is the main criticism I address to phract double gauss builds.

    Its main weakness is its lack of armor and survivability overall. LRMs are a real pain, and you can't tank the damage with any "shield". More than that, the cannons are vulnerable and might kill you if they explode. Thus be much careful when you pilot this mech.

    Notes:
    1/it can be built from every JM6 variant. Might be better on the Firebrand, with the laser on the arm, but I don't own this mech to test.
    2/ single HS are OK, making the build kind of cheap.
    3/ 5 tons of ammo is imho a minimum. Actually I don't know how you can't be frustrated with 4t builds (like Michael's for example), I run out of ammo almost every game. Unfortunately adding one tons requires either shaving more armor and/or downgrading the engine to a painfully slow mobility:
