One of the first builds i tried in my Illya back when it was first released . Best Regards, The Trice
Welcome to the MechSpec forum! It is a little different bit then the current metagame of "2PPC+Gauss", of which I am heartily sick. I played a game recently with four of those and it was not much fun for anyone. I see why you have placed the two Gauss on the right side of the body but I can't really approve of having a potential 20 explosive points in the RT with the XL Engine. Put that Gauss in the left arm, move the ERPPC to RT and you still have a sniper-peek-round-corner. I am hesitating between 3 and 4 stars, mainly for the Gauss rifle in the RT but also for the 6 slots remaining and the number of unused hardpoints. It is undoubtedly effective at sniping.
True , I put 2 Gauss ammo with the Gauss rifle to protect it a little bit , but of course i still get ammo explosions(Gauss rifle explosion) but i still prefer the risk for the concentrated fire power
I keep hearing this song everytime I see this build. I do think it is an average build, only because 2 Gauss is not worth the risk.
Good fun, especially with the less dominant than ever pop snipers. 5 less alpha than triple gauss, with a reasonable engine and armor. Only thing is you really miss JJs from the 3D, which can do the same build.
Also, rode this mech to victory against a heavily stacked (pilot and deck quality wise) enemy team on Canyon by suppressing targets with full damage alphas against enemy PPC/AC5 snipers' half damage ones at 700M. Definite psychological effect when the enemy sees a longer range, higher alpha sniper gunning down their push.
