This should be moved to the appropriate subforum.

    That aside, interesting build :)

Opps! I'm going with the "it was late and I was tired" defense.

Glad you enjoyed it though!

    Looks similar to mine, but i'm using only a 295XL and 3 UAC/5 /w 150 rounds of ammo + 3 M-Laser as weapons

Yup, almost same here. XL300, AC/5, 2 UAC/5 and 3 MLAS. 2t AC/5 ammo, 5t UAC/5 ammo. It works like charm. Just for the love of god don't store your ammo in middle torso.

With 3 normal ACs you see a distinctive gap in the firing cycle, but upping two to UAC there's much better DPS, bullets being fired at almost constant rate. This build can cope with surprisingly few heat sinks, I believe I only have 12 or 13 DHS.

And for the previous poster, 150 is not enough for 3 UAC, try to get more.

I tried the OP's build but I can't get fit the third AC/5 on there. Has something changed in the weight of an Ilya?

I just tried this build and I like it because, well I am an atlas pilot at heart and this thing while not as well armored pilots like an atlas or close enough that I enjoy running it. Weather you are shooting from behind a rock or rolling through a brawl you can always put out good damage at most ranges and it dose not have any heat problems, not even on caustic....This I like.

Sounds like I'll have to upgrade to this loadout to run with Tuku. My 3X LPL is fun, but, I like this builds speed and versatility in range.

3x UAC5 is quite popular though I would be worried that's not enough ammo. I used to run 2x UAC5 on a CTF-3D with 150 shots and usually was out of ammo before the end of the match.

Ammo is consumed in order of danger so the CT ammo gets consumed first. I figure that it's safe there as when my CT is vulnerable I've fired off those two tons of ammo first. If not - I've done something wrong. At the time I made this build UAC5's were bugged and would jam for the entire match. The standard AC5's were a stop gap that I ended up preferring.

Yup that's the idea. You're toughish while being relatively fast. You can output good damage at almost all ranges under any heat condition. Glad you liked it!

With the changes to heat on energy weapons I'd be curious about how that would work.

    It's a wonderful sound :)

Welcome! I've found it's solid and easily underestimated.

Swapped the 320XL out for a 300XL because i don't have enough cash yet for the 320Xl
by doing this was able to fit an ams with 2 tons of ammo and some extra leg Armour

Cool! How's it working out for you? If I could make a suggestion it would be to move the AMS ammo to the arms. In the LT like that you run the risk of an ammo explosion (AMS ammo is treated like MGun ammo in this case) so it's safer out in the arms. It's much safer there and in a worst case you lose your ammo due to an arm being destroyed which is preferable to sudden death due to an unlucky ammo crit.

I also run with a 300 XL, AMS and 1 ton of ammo for it.

This 'Mech works like a charm, love the damage I dish out... though I have to be wary of overconfidence, I sometimes find myself going head to head with assaults.

My first round of being able to get involved in some fights turned out great---I have the 300XL version and running 14 DHS which allowed me to pour on the damage against mechs who shut down. Quite the advantage! I haven't done over 800 damage in much of anything besides my Dragons in a long time

I'm amazed at how many good builds this chassis has (ERPPC/AC10/MLAS is a favorite) and this build gets a full rating from me.
