Operation "make hunchback great again" is ongoing since a long time. Asymmetric build: you can right poke with every weapon while maintaining high mounted AC20. If you lose the right side, surviving with +1 ML won't change that much anyway. Weapon cooldown synergy: ML will have almost identical cooldown+duration compared to AC20 cooldown, further enhancing the poky nature of this build (and keep up this chassis with the current high-alpha meta and be-fast-to-poke-or-get-rekt-by-pinpoint-and-lrms meta) Why not choose this build compared to the classic 4G: If you got used to +25% AC20 velocity, it will be harder to hit distant moving targets, especially lights If you liked the ultra-fast AC20 cooldown, you may not like losing that additional -10% AC20 cooldown. Range synergy between AC20 and MLs. During right pokes, though, you are compensating lack of range quirk by being able to fire +2 ML ... Or you can simply switch to 4xERML, but this build will become hot in no time, plus ERML range and lack of speed quirk doesn't pair up very well to pinpoint damage when firing at fast targets (60 tons or lower). You can compensate lack of projectile velocity quirks with skills, hence this recommended skill tree: max range, max heat, max laser duration, max velocity, max ammo, cooldown, armor, radar deprivation, max seismic sensors, coolshots and max airstrike. Remove half ton of AC20 ammo and add armor as you please if you don't like an armor-less head.
Very true, but my main concern were about lack of both alpha strike (35 is decent at best) and range. For instance: why pick this build instead of a bushwacker dual AC10, which has better DPS, range and speed? Or a similar enforcer gauss + 5xERML? IIthought that if I can't win the DPS / range race, at least I should win the alpha / sustained alpha race, so that's what I came up with. The whole point is AC20 alone, despite being very good with those quirk, is not enough to make it work.
