The Grasshopper may be the perfect melee mech, rivaled by the Griffin and the Firestarter. This build gives it the mid-range damage of a Jenner, but adds 120 dmg from Small Lasers to its already hefty melee damage. Jump this mech close behind ANY mech and the alpha strike will range from crit-to-kill. Adjustment: A Defensive Gyro for endurance or a Melee Hit Gyro to land those punches. Drop the SRM from the head to add a protective Cockpit Mod, and one more ML or HS at CT, and another JJ for mobility. Pros: Fast for a heavy, more survivable than stock, Alpha dmg is approaching 250, but... Cons: Alpha may only be done at short to melee range, no Long-Range weapons or shield arm, head slot used. This build shown using standard equipment. Using + or ++ can significantly increase effectiveness, but keep them in-torso for protection.
