With the stealth armor buffs, you can alpha for a very, very, very long time before needing a cool shot or to drop stealth for faster cooling.
Also, running around at 177.6 kph with stealth pretty much negates all lock on weapons unless you position very badly and leave yourself out in the open and the enemy has a tag or someone gets very lucky with a PPC shot.
Don't stand still.
Avoid backing up whenever possible. I mean backing up at 118.3 kph isn't bad, but not as good as running forward.
The small lasers have a bit longer range which means you can get into optimal range without triggering 'Low Signal' on the enemy mech.
About that 5xSL version, you can fit a LE170, upgrade do endosteel and fit a TC1...
You will have to strip all armor head and a bit from the arms, but you shouldn't be taking damage and / or attract unwanted fire in the first place.
I could come back just to test this 5xSL alt: it looks like a nasty little beast...
Proposed skill tree: max heatgen, max laser duration, max speed tweak, max anchor turn, max ECM, max seismic sensors, almost maxed UAV and strikes.
I've seen a few top tier pilots recently using the 5xSL + Stealth Flea. It is a nasty little bugger to deal with on the battlefield.
A golf ball moving 170+ kph erratically. Your only prayer to kill it effectively is ERPPC's or single-shot autocannons. And you need to have good convergence. If they're wide mounted you'll likely miss with one or both.
