5 armor off each leg and swapped the torsos to MPLs. Even though the efficiency dropped, sustained DPS rose. MPLs are the same heat as regular MLs, they just burn through it faster, which is where the efficiency dropped, I think. I don't always run at max tonnage (I have a few Mechs that are at like X-0.1 tons because they've filled their slots and maxed everything, and my AWS-8V is sitting at 79.4 tons), but I see 2.73 tons as a bit more sub optimal. Of course, there's the old adage - if it's stupid and works, it ain't stupid.
I was thinking in the same direction but I'd swap the left arm lasers rather than the torsos, just because you're more likely to be peaking at range with the ERMLs than the MPLs. but then, when I ran something like this, I put all SPLs in the right arm. but that's a different build entirely
