EDIT: It's late and I did a foolish; would a mod please insert the variant before the name as per the guidelines? I used this build to bring this variant to elite status. The main weapons are the AC/5s and the 3 LLas. The 3 LRM 5s are for your approach to the fight, and whenever you can't get a direct line of sight. Play this mech squarely within the main pack. You don't want to be isolated from the deathball. If you don't have the cover of friendly lights or mediums, stick with the heavies and assaults because your massed firepower will help deter threats. This is a support mech through and through - you amplify your fellow mechs' firepower by shooting their targets - but that doesn't mean you won't post good numbers. I tried gauss builds on this chassis but I simply didn't feel like I had enough psychological deterrence. A single gauss is almost passé for assaults today, whereas the constant screen-shake from the AC/5s and lurms really gets folks ducking back into cover. This means your fragile XL side torsi do not get as much return fire. Peek and shoot, stay with the pack, relocate if necessary, and then at the end of the match you can still be somewhat fresh. That's when you can then stare down opponents with constant autocannon DPS. Shield with your left side; the arms on this mech are huge and block almost all fire into your upler torso, and in my experience the upper torso with the obvious side-bits sticking out is where people tend to aim. Any feedback would be appreciated! Cheers, grendeldog
