_ I used to run this mech with 3SNPPC, AC20 and LE345. Then I thought: This is cool n all, but a mech 20 tons lighter runs this better than I do, how do I make it 90-tonner worthy? Here's the result. 3 SPL bring 12 extra 'PPFLD' at point blank range and excellent light deterral. At the 'normal' 300m range you don't use them and still have a very effective 3Snub AC20 combo with plenty of cooling. The 20% higher alpha helps a lot at closer ranges, and the quick cooldown of SPL means you'll have the upper hand in a close duel where firing just that extra shot before they do means life or death It's a bit slower than I'd like, but it's hard to really justify the amount of tonnage for just a few kph. One suggestion would be to run it with an LE330 and cut some LA/Leg armor, but this is what I had in my inventory and it's fine tbh.
I'm seeing the 3 snub/AC20 combo on just about everything lately, and it always works. Can't imagine this being worse
Yup, it's definitely a strong contender against the dual HGR builds, with a lot more flexibility in terms of which mechs it can be run on.
