Classic poptart build but with Heavy PPCs. I needed to find a use for this chassis: it's really dusty in my mechbay. This build can be mirrored on the BJ-3 variant: you lose 10% cooldown in favor of -10% heat gen, +20% PPC speed and slightly better range (from +5% to +10% range)
heat gen reduction + range is better than cooldown for a pokey build like this. I advise to try out a 4xSRM4 + 2ERML build (though I still wish the missiles were in the arms)
Thanks for the advice, but that means my quest to look for something where this build actually shines compared to others is still uncompleted. I was looking for something where it does actually shines either for it's tonnage (for faction play) or for it's weight class. Since most of my mediums are more than capable of brawl or for ranged engagements (CN9-A, BSW-X1, HBK etc.), or for ranged fire (HBK - Grid Iron), I'm actually missing an IS poptart and that's what I come up with build for this variant... And then I also discovered there is the BJ-3A variant which has better quirks... I'm sincerly looking for a build where this variant can actually stand up and say "this is the build that makes me worth being occupy your mechbay".
The C-Bill bonus is what makes it worth. It's not a mech for faction play, but you can treat it as a brawler in between a Griffin and a Javelin, with better arm mounts. It's decently fast at 93 kph and has decent space/efficiency. I use the JJs personally for strange attack angles where necessary ( you can get on top of the citadel easily) but yeah, with limited long range direct fire hard points this is going to be a brawler (and the hit boxes aren't too great for it). In the end, just make sure you have fun in it (run MRM50 if that's your fancy ;P)
