This build is the brainchild of my desire to run a decent PPC boat. I LOVE ballistics, but I really wanted to try pure PPC sniping. With the current state of heat output from the PPC, I had to run an Atlas to load enough heatsinks and other gear to back me up. The awesome just doesn't cut it for PPC builds imho... I started with the 2x PPC/2x ER PPC build on this forum and tweaked it until I landed on this setup. It upped my average damage output per match from 350 with the 100% PPC build to 650 with this build... While not an "in-your-face DPS monster," it's a BEAST. The 3x PPC bring an enormous punch- the same as a Gausscat, but better recycle time, and a much faster projectile. I went for the PPC over the ER PPC since it puts out appox 50% less heat, but you could easily roll this build with 2 or more ER PPC. The MPL and the streaks give you close range damage(it really adds up a LOT over the course of a match), and lights wont bother you nearly as much. The idea is to use your two PPC weapon groups to fire your PPC's as you burst from around a corner. Your arms are so far apart that you can do more damage having them fire separately as you move around buildings and such. When you get close to an enemy, or a light runs up on you, unleash your MPL and streaks. The sustained damage to the enemy torso from the streaks helps more than you'd expect. Remember to keep your small dot sight on your enemy when you fire the MPL and streaks group so you maximize MPL damage. You obviously want the AMS since you wont be able to take an ECM on this chassis. People are still boating LRMs. I have no idea why, but they are, so don't forget the AMS. On a side note, AMS feels very powerful? I'm seeing it take down full volleys from 2x LRM20 cats.
