This is from one of my best Archer games to date, even though it was a loss. Running 2xLRM15+A and 4MLs. Ran out of missiles when there were three left on our side. I probably could have finished off the dire wolf, red CT, if I'd been a little more cautious killing the king crab (and I'd remembered to close my missile doors). Wouldn't have mattered in the long run, since the adder, hunchback and mauler were still in fairly good shape.
It's been a while since I got to post in these threads. Build: I had 560 missiles left (Missile rack skills), so swap 1,5t of ammo to BAP against enemy ECM at your own discretion.
Nice game. Not sure the TC2 is really helping. I would consider more armor or ammo. Looks like you are using survival tree a bit anyway.
With skills, that's more than enough MRM ammo. I'd be wary of shaving leg armor that much considering all the ammo in them
Yes, still skilling it out. Thanks for the tips. I was trying the targeting computer out with the extra tonnage since MRM are relatively slow. I actually ran out of ammo in that game, and ran out to draw fire. You don't see tie games often. Last Urbie ran away. Someone already posted a similar build as a reply to the 2xMRM30 5xSRM2 build, but my version has a bigger engine and an extra heatsink and less ammo. https://mechspecs.com/threads/arc-5w-ash-singulary-2xmrm30-6xsrm2-le280.13927/
Note that targeting computers do not help missile weapons. They do help speed up the time to have the mech doll damage information revealed. Beam weapons include all lasers; projectile weapons include all Gauss Rifles, PPCs, and non-LBX Autocannons. Targeting Computer Mk I Weight: 1 ton. Slots: 1 slot.
