EDIT: ANH-1A is the best variant for this build: you will get an additional -10% AC10 cooldown I was really skeptic about a 4xAC10 build, but damn, it's way more pinpoint than expected and it does fire like crazy. Simply DO NOT alpha strike with this thing: the heat scale is really atrocious (2.75 each, if you fire 4 of them you generate 23.38 instead of 11). It could be worth bringing in Faction Play, but I'm not sure about it. There is only one tip: follow your team, lock your target and either pinpoint CT or anything exposed. You will pop that component in no time. As weapon groups, I recommend: 2xAC10 on torsoes 2xAC10 on arms Chain fire Chain fire Chain fire My first game I runned out of ammo despite the 2 ammo skills nodes, but I still achieved 7 kills and nearly 1000 damage. Spoiler ALT: @Falconium Light Engine version. +2 km/h but -1DHS. Needs testing, because I was able to overheat with the STD version.
I love this. Especially since the typical 4xLBX10 still works better on the Sleipnir. This is something that the Sleipnir can't fit, so it becomes worthwhile for that reason. And that double-"AC20" with fast cooldown, longer range, and higher velocity, has got to feel pretty darn great to pilot! Gonna try it for sure.
You can gain 2 kph by swapping Endo-steel for LF-armo, and switching to a LightEngine (1 point less armor). You could also use the extra tonnage to instead get more ammo, if it's needed.
I'll add the LE version to the OP. I'm not sure it will be worth it thought: that single DHS will help when permafiring or when shooting anything that tries to poke at you... Seriously, I've managed to overheat despite skills and without ghost heat, so moving from 41% to 38% heat efficiency could be an issue, despite the 10% heat generation reduction. I'm not sure how it will perform with +2 km/h and slightly less heat efficiency: you won't still be able to take cover and skilling into coolshots seems a waste. I need more testing.
Agreed about the heat: 1 DHS makes alot more difference when it's the only extra DHS, compared to a build with like 28 DHS. So the reduced heat could mean a less efficient build overall. I'm also not sure 2 kph is worth it. I was actually leaning more toward reducing the engine and adding more ammo, as I know your original post had mentioned ammo occasionally being an issue, even after skills.
