1. Hi everyone!
This is a kind reminder to rate the builds you play or read. The ETA for the new rating system is not yet here, but if everyone active could rate 1 build per day, we can have everything rated in only 1 month! Don't feel bad about giving bad ratings with some constructive criticism :)
Thanks in advance -- the MechSpecs team.

Manifold COLDER than Frozen City and Polar.

Flamer nerf, despite being needed, it still feels like a joke.

Clanners machine gun nerf is not the solution: they are nerfing every other mech that can't fit 12xMG like the PIR-1. That tiny little MG boat will still be OP, while any other mech (like the myst lynx) will become less viable or even more useless. 12 dmg/s of ghostheat-less damage is the issue, not the crits themselves: you can solo kill a heavy face to face if you know what you are doing and are skilled enough to do so.

Removal of 32-bit Support: Resolutions lower than 1024x768 and 32-bit systems are no longer supported by MechWarrior Online. Now you really need to upgrade your potato.

    Everything about solaris? Dunno.

Crits are a problem that being grazed by a piranha takes out all weaponry. How about mgs deal 33% damage against armor, full damage against structure.

Instead of doing something with optimizations, they're dropping X86 support... :arghh:

Nerfing a weapon won't stop people from not using the most powerful build that uses that weapon, specifically that nerf will not stop people using piranhas and it will make other mechs plain garbage or useless instead of somewhat underpowered. For example, the cUAC10 nerfs has not stopped people using quad UAC10 on mad cat or kodiak and since piranha exists, I've rarely seen any myst lynx.

Negative quirks on specific variants are the solution. I honestly hate the idea of ghost heat on a heatless weapon (plus it would make completely pointless the usage of that particular variant because you can't fit anything else if not MGs), but piranha variants with the most ballistic hardpoints are OP due to the fact they can out DPS most enemies while dodging shots.

Reducing crit chance could be a starting point, but it won't stop a piranha from killing a 100 ton mech in around 8 seconds of backstabbing (excluding lasers), or to face tank bigger lights with a DPS barrage of doom.

Clan MGs due to lower weight are becoming more and more an issue.

EDIT: also, 12xMGs deals more damage than a single RAC5 (12 dps VS 10.9 dps), so you basically have a heatless RAC5 platform that runs at ~150 km/h (range is not a big issue because it's a very fast mech... Obviously you should not push the enemy formation). At least a negative quirk on crit chance / crit damage reduction is needed, otherwise any other MG boat will be pretty pointless if not for the utilies (JJs or ECM, for example)

other mechs have other weapons in addition to MGs. the Piranhas rely for 90% damage on machine guns. As long as they don't get through armor as easily, it'll be a nerf to the piranha without having to resort to negative quirks (which will have a negative impact on players who bought in to the piranha). clan MG weight does allow for even stronger nerfs compared to IS
