This build is not really unique. There are half a dozen builds on this forum that are very similar. With that being said, I did not see this exact build posted and I have had incredible luck with it so far.

I've had a few games right around 1,000 with this baby. Just now had this match:

An XL365 would be more efficient. You will notice the mech is ever so slightly under-weight with the XL360. I don't have the cash to drop 6 million for 1 KPH. I find radar deprivation is a must for a barn door with no ECM. AMS is not optional with one free slot.

All of my Awesome 9M builds in the past have been focused around the PPC. The left arm and legs would be stripped as low as I could bare in order to facilitate more firepower/speed/heatsinks. With the pulse lasers you are generally put into medium distance to brawling distance engagements. This makes your shield (left) arm much more important. 52 damage is a pretty big sponge. Weapons are bound as such:

1: Both Torso LPLas, all three MPLas (pin-point close range 40 damage, no ghost heat)
2: Arm LPLas (Just a way to cycle LPLas to avoid ghost heat. Fire 1/2 sec after mouse 1)
3: All three LPLas (I use this at longer ranges when I don't want to fire my MPLas.)

    If I need a quick high-damage close range alpha I just M1 + M2. Things get melty.

Should be even better once I can afford LPLas and MPLas range modules and the XL365.

Only 12 million cbills to go to squeeze every last bit of efficiency out of her. >.<

    *Edit*

Figured I might as well post the optimized version:

    5/5,
It is not the most elegant setup, as for the '40 pinpoint', you have to mix weapon groups with range difference, but boy, is this thing effective. I've tried to improve it - I couldn't.

One thought: If you buy mostly reactors on the 'heatsink threshold" (when there is an additional internal heatsink) you could take the XL350. The additonal tonnage makes room for a BAP and an AMS. This config has one heatsink less than the one posted above and a slight bit more armour:

I simplified this and just when 3xLPL, 22 DHS, and AMS, with a 350XL.

    Mech works great.
I call it my 'wide-knight' since it plays very similarly.

    5/5,
I really like the Awesome 9M. This 9M variant has two features that distinguish it from the other awesomes:
    1. 3 center energy hard points.
    2. Engine cap well above the 300 of the other awesomes.

#1 is really really good for STD engines. Even when losing a ST you don’t lose speed or cooling besides the Heatsinks that are installed there, and only about 1/3 of your firepower.

So, I use 2LPLs and either 4MLs and STD350 engine (74 kph after skills), or 4MPLs and STD325 engine. This thing just keep going and going - make sure to spend all armor+structure in the good shield arms, and protect the CT.

    The STD350 and MLs version:

    The STD325 and MPLs version:

Note: I used full left arm armor. You can shave a lot of it off to fit an AMS+1 ton ammo or TC1.

Since it's still being run, here's a way to run the original version shown with an LE instead of an XL:

LOL It's crazy this thread is still getting replies. The only AWS I still run is an 8Q with 2HPPC, 5ML, and AMS (with a Light Engine). I like this 9M you posted Dagonus, I might try it

    5/5,
This is what I run on my 9M (with Light engine) with usually strong results.
