They can't live without each other (XL engine) Less alpha strike and less speed compared to "Peek-a-woosh" (2xMRM20, 4xERML), but better ranged pinpointy thanks to lasers. MRM20 is better used to further punish standing still / poking targets or during a brawl when spread won't kick in due to shorter range. You are fully heat stable with MRM20 only, so below 100 meters don't panic shooting 3xLL when you are running hot. Apply the same old tactic: poke with an alpha strike, hide and repeat.
