  1. Short range, suicide trade, brawling style in a 48 kph package.

Positioning is key. Maybe you can get lucky and get the cave map on Solaris. Don't kid yourself, UAC20s need to used well within optimal range to have a chance of landing damage in any sort of reasonable pattern.

Once they get within your reach (less than 300m), unload with alternating lefts and rights until one of you falls down.

    Adjust for more reasonable ammo

Or maybe you need only a bit more ammo

  2. Trial Runs
Overheated, but the spider died. Worth it.

Sometimes they do funnel to you, slowly, one at a time, down city streets.

Switched the 20s for 10s just in time for this match. 2xUAC10, 11xMPL, 1xERML, 3tons ammo.
Much better than the horrible 20s spread.

Of course can also be done with the UAC10s you mentioned. I'm surprised about the 'sustained DPS' on such a hot build :)'

    Symmetrical left-right punch:

  4. Yah, it was a great game and everything lined up. How often do you get to hit all 12 enemy mechs on a mech that moves at 48 kph and is designed to engage inside of 300 meters.

It was the perfect set up. 4-5 rush in from upper city. Two drop down, the rest back off and hide. Team listens for call for help. Mop up two, take time to cool off, push upper city to clean up the rest one by one. Pick off another solo in the city. The last four were a HBR and MAD went to our base to cap and two Atlai that stayed on the other side of river firing LRMs with what could have been stock builds.

I was really excited, then really, really sad when I realized that it could have been a well over 1,500 damage game on a Mad Cat MKII or Blood Asp and most likely a personal best damage record.
