Looks like a huge cbill drain up front. Slow clan laser boat and every variant comes with a Standard engine. Then the max engine rating is also low. I think the Marauder IIC is a much better chassis
I need to be able to clearly look at a mech and all its variants and omnipods (preferably smurfy or in-game) if I am to decide whether or not if its good. Anyway, it's a clan assault mech with head mounts and center torso mounts and jumpjets. seems similar to the direwolf but i guess more agile or whatever. seems cool.
An energy based Highlander IIC with probably minimal quirks and minimal flexibility making it even worse.... not sure I've ever been less enthusiastic about a mech and I've bought every mech pack except the archers and rifleman (I was taking a break when they arrived and no early adopter so c-bill buying only ....). Its all the laser vomit builds really but.... the hero can do dual gauss, dual ER PPC, just 5-5.5 tons of ammo though but interesting. The A can also do SRM 24/MPL4 but the rest all look like energy based assaults which look weak with clan weaponry in their current state. They work well on more mobile mechs but all energy assaults... no thanks. Ultimately the Highlander IIC's needed massive quirks to even make them vaguely usable, with the current trend they'll get almost nothing and yes that means they'll be weak at best. MRBC limited tonnage use only (and even then why would you not take a Night Gyr?).
I will gladly rip this model from the PGI files and have my way with it... I may even print it so I can have it sitting on my desk. Past that, I don't think I will be paying for play time in it.... I am eyeing that Marauder IIC though.
The only reason I can come up with to buy this pack is the paintjob on the special edition,... I'm letting this one pass by!
I love the skins and the model, but as a mech it's going to suck. At least the hero is really special. I'd love to have a 3D print of the special variant.
It's just a bunch of energy hardpoints which was already possible in the DWF, except for the SNV-A and hero. Clan Energy weaponry is too hot for what it does atm, vomit meta is long gone. The hero is interesting because of the hardpoints making it basically a clan KGC. The collector's variant is shite because it is the only one to come without ES and having weapons only in the arms makes it easier than a stalker to stick, or easy to core. It's not an omni so the flaws of these variants can't be fixed by moving some pods around, and it's equally slow as the DWF.
What do you mean by no ES? Since it is not omni you can change engine size/type and also add/remove things like ES/FF (or switch to SHS even, for the fucking retards). Not saying I am happy to use more cbills but it is less than 1 million so it is a non-issue.
The only good thing about this Mech -> it is a Big Fat Chicken Walker with Big Fat Chicken Wings! Btw I like fried chicken wings - very tasty
Actually it is faster than Direwhale most likely. Direwhale is 48.6/52.2kph SNV comes with a 270 like HGN-IIC, which can have max engine 325, being 58.5/62.9kph. Remember non-omni can change engines. Still, as said other than Hero and A things are pretty grim. Unless you get superb quirk stack it is pretty weak Of those, may use 3 or C.
Nothing wrong with being a chubby chaser. At least she can eat, rather than ordering some fancy ass salad and only eat 3 leaves.
