    Hi all,

i'm curious to know how much of a (match score/kills/damage) you need to do in order to stay even, or to go up in ranking when your team lost the match. I've had some various encounters and usually, 1 Kill +x assists +500 damage will allow you to stay even on your ELO. I've done matches with 1 kill and 450 damage or so, and my ranking went down. I recently had a match with 4 kills 4 assists and 840 damage, my ELO went up.

This kinda ties into SkiDogs threat about Puging. Yes, the quality of your team really matters, sometimes more so than the quality of the opponents. Two matches last night, both on highlands, we were down 0-3 and we won the match 9-12 because we came together really well. In another game, we were up 3-1 and then lost 6-12. We came apart.

If I remember correctly (and I might not), the ranks are 200 and 400 match score.
=> if you lose, your PSR drops if your score is under 200, stays even between 200 and 400, and goes up if higher than 400.
=> if you win, your PSR stays even if your score is under 200, goes up slightly between 200 and 400, and goes up a lot if higher than 400.

(I must find my source to be sure)

PS : this is no more an Elo (or Elo-ish) ranking.

looks like on a DEFEAT, you need a match score of 250+ to break even, and 400 is right for going up. Had two games with scores above each one and had one game with a score of 243, that was a lowering of the score.

(p.s. yeah i know it's not ELO anymore, just forgot what they call it now. Glad you understood:) )

I'm a bit ambivalent about the formula as if you perform well but lose should the rating of your ability drop as people claim frequently? In fact why does win/loss even come into the equation in the solo queue as it doesn't say much about how well you play? Does a pilot suddenly become less dangerous because they lost a match? I'm not a fan of the idea that because you win you're judged to be a better player.... even if you were volleyed right at the start because you went off solo showboating and were caught by their lights etc. Win loss makes sense to me in the group queue as how well you play as a team is critical.
