How I run it nowadays. XL300, BAP, 2t ammo are a must. If you find armor somehow too low you can always mount an XL295 instead and almost max it out. extra DHS are not necessary IMO.

Your total armor rating is ok, but as always I'd rather shave on arms or side torsos instead of legs.

Fixed it, it was meant to be distributed 21/31 arm/leg. I think dropping 1 armor off the legs (having one more than a multiple of 5 is a good idea to avoid insta-alphas). I wouldn't want to drop more on the arms though, the MLs are a very crucial pinpoint damage component and need as much protection as the legs.

    5/5,
This is still one of the best Jenners out there.

I changed the -D back to 2x SRM4, but the Streak version holds it's place in my heart. This is actually one of the JR7 builds where I prefer the XL295.

    5/5,
For those of us with ping issues this build is better than the two SRM4 because it allows you to keep lock, fire and forget.

    5/5,
I concur. This was my go two mech for an extremely long time when I was in Jenners. Great for beginners in the light weight class.

    I disagree.
I tested it recently when leveling the JR7-D on my alt-acount and found it seriously lacked fire-fower compared to the SRM4 build. Remember streaks got nerfed hard (and that's fine with me), it's nothing like it was one or two years ago.

In my opinion it's only good if you have ping issues that doesn't allows you to use SRMs effectively on a fast mech. If you're a beginner, better start practising with SRMs rather than taking bad habits.

Newer players sometimes have issues aiming SRMs at 130+ kph so the SSRM fire and forget provides a little bit of a crutch so that they can learn to adapt to the speed. Once that is done you can pile on the double 4s.

    4/5,
I wish streaks were as good as they used to be. Unless they get buffed again, this mech won't be as good as the one with 2xSRM4s.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Artemis had no impact on streaks.

it's an old bug that hasn't been resolved. Having A+ with streaks can reduce lock time, but your mileage may vary.

    Gentlemen,

I'm a capper and when testing the designs in this thread, I built all of the ones posted here. My best-scoring one was YaoYaoYiffy's build, which I refer to as "Helmer Mk 223-YYY". I've started running it without the extra DHS and with an AMS only half-loaded. I thought it best to share it here, to show appreciation for all the builds that led me to it.

I submit for your review the "Helmer Mk 362-R".
