I got the "Ace of Spades" achievement with this build, 8 kills, 1180 damage. The pulse lasers are fun, you can jump in and out of fights without waiting for the longer beam durations. And in an unexpected joust scenario, you land nearly all of the damage where the enemy gets a small fraction. The large pulse gives you more options than all medium/medium pulse. For modules, either extended range on both, or range/cooldown on the large one.

Hmmm, 1 MPL = 6 damage in 0.6 seconds, just like 2xML, and if you're not going to use the rest of the duration that seems like a really good tradeoff heat-wise as well.

Personally would prefer putting the LPL in the CT. you have the critslots, torso is easier to aim at range and you don't lose the weapon as quick as when it's in the arm (my spider arms often take a lot of fire). However, great build otherwise :)

Do you feel it's outperforming the 3xMPL build though? That has more tonnage available for armor, and you don't have to spread out weapon modules.

I like this better than 3x Medium pulse (also a very good configuration) as it is more heat efficient, and has more range. Alpha is a little lower, but the number of times it can be fired before overheat is higher.

I agree.. I think this is superior to the 3mpl variant because heat IS an issue on that one... and the range, with modules for both Pulses is sweet...

I like the build, but am a bit unsure about the armor. What about this variant? Maxes the armor where necessary, ads another JJ, but lacks a bit speed-wise - though it seems to be quite ok for an ECM light.

EDIT: Mythweaver's Streakmando gets away easily with that speed, so a jumcapable light should also do well.

So... I had some time to test my build propoed above. It's very good. 139.6 kp/h is sufficiently fast for all scouting purposes, and as other IS lights are very uncommon at the moment, it's also fast enough to get out of trouble quickly. I like that it has full armor, and the punch is nothing to sniff at.

As a variant I switch to this one when there is a LRM mech in my team:

It's basically a mix-up of this build and my Black Widow Mk II. I think I like this one better.
