If you're saving up for Endo and Artemis, this is a good build to run with right out of the gate.

You could trade out a ton of SRM ammo for a DHS, but I sort of like the ability to fire the SRMS all day and not run dry.

I dunno - maybe this as a variant:

Remove the case, move ammo to legs, cut leg armor a little bit and get another DHS in there? Personally, I always suck at JJ brawling, so I'd go with 2JJ for scaling rocks and add 2 more DHS on top of the +1

Fast, deadly, and hard to kill. I am a teeny bit worried about how this mech carries 5/7 weapon hardpoints in its left torso, but I haven't had a real problem yet. Maybe it's that shield arm that's been saving me...

    5 stars.

The grouping is tight enough for my tastes without Artemis and AMS. I traded those in for three additional DHS instead and near-max armor.

All I have to say; "Stopping power."

After a few snipes from a high ridge on Mordor (I might want to work a LL into the arm for this reason) I just dropped down behind the enemy furball as my team rounded a corner in front of them - Results? Oh yes. The laser knife tears off armor then the SRMs show the way to the afterlife.

High damage is always fun, but, 5 kills in under a minute to end a round, FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC! :D

PS: Props to Algae in this round as well for running a BJ-3 w/ 3xLLas and getting to the highest point on the map to not only damage the enemy, but, peek-n-pew the enemy and distract them for some effective movement for our team. Very good play from him.

Managed to brawl against a Dragon and Jager yesterday, sadly not being able to kill either of them (mordor, so had to be careful with overheating), but delayed them both long enough for the rest of the pug to finally realise theres two guys behind them and swarm in to kill them.

And how long did I manage to delay them for before dying? 12%. Don't think i've ever got that low in a Cent before, let alone with this!

    Great Mech

I'm not that much of a jumper, so here's the idea without jump jets. Reminds me of the HBK-4SP, but with one more laser. Although the HBK-4SP is more balanced in hardpoints.

That was kinda the point, the fact that this mech has JJ. I know it's a bit cooler running, but those JJ are so much fun to run.

Dude... keep one for hills, that's the only selling point for this 'mech over the Hunchback. Sure, there's the 100 extra armor, but that doesn't mean much when you're travelling around 10kph slower. Also, those 15 extra tons will work against you when (if?) PGI puts the drop tonnage limits in like they've been talking about.

I've had ridiculous success with this build. By far my winningest/killingest Phoenix mech. Such a surprise.

I run it with 4s. Needed a 3rd ton of ammo, ended up with CASE. I don't love that bit, but other than that, it's cooler and still brings the hurt. Most fun I've had with the 9SE (though probably not good before Elite is finished)

Dropped down to a single JJ, added Artemis while swapping to a pair of SRM4s, but also upped the engine to a 310.

With speedtweak I'm cruising around at 85kph and it is sweet. Heat is generally pretty manageable and it doesn't too bad in a brawl.

If you're gonna drop to SRM4s anyway you might just as well get rid of the artemis, since they have great innate spread (as opposed to SRM6s)
Dropping to just 1 JJ also makes this mech much less manouverable, and you do all this just for 3 kph of speed? not worth it imo. The amount of heatsinks you can get is pretty wicked though.

The artemis is there from when I had the double SRM6 and I didn't feel like paying the c-bills to remove it since I was still experimenting. If I was to drop it I'd follow through with something like you propsed trading the 2 tons and slots for a second JJ and an extra ton of SRM ammo.

Vergere, why do you always run such hot sexy builds? I really like em cool! 5 Stars for the Weaponloadout, but only 4 for the Config of yours.. :p

I think, this will be my use-to-be build for grinding.

Less ammo, less JJ, less Armor. Not great tradeoffs for such cooling. I think I would run something like this for a cooler build

    errm.. you sure?

i don't know how you use this build, but i see it as pure Close Range Alpha Brawler. I load in so much of cooling to keep on alphaing at any incoming target, without overheating after 2-3 Strikes. And it works pretty well for me, even with less Armor, JJs or Ammo:
