This build shines in the 400m-550m range (mid range). The 3ermls have range parity with the LPLs allowing for 48 pt alphas every ~3 seconds (with cooldown bonuses). The crit immune nature of Number Seven allows you to stay in the fight, but don't plan on tanking with the CGR-N7. For close range work count on your 3LPLs with their 2.5 second cooldowns (with cooldown bonuses) rather than the traditional ermls on defense.

Targetting Computer Mk III also extends your range / sensors / target lock-on for better accuracy and a slight range advantage over other mid-range combatants. Watch out for rac2 boats or other heavy ballistics as you will need a headshot or weapon component obliterated to out duel them in a face time battle.

Basically a duplicate, but your description is much higher quality, and the last build had no comments for over a year, so it checks out ;)

I find the mid-range TCs a bit too heavy for their gain. Either I'd want a TC1 for a quick and easy 4% range boost, or go all in with a build focused on the highest bonus possible. Jumpjets may be a better use of the tonnage.

It is a matter of preference. JJs aren't as useful per tonnage on assaults as their lift is minimal. Usually you need 3 JJs minimum to make them tactically useful. 1 JJ for the hill climbing ability is a good utility, but this build uses 78/78 slots while a JJ would weight 2 tons as well for an assault. This is the reason the extra tonnage is allocated into a target TC, not because a mid-range TC is desired.

Lastly, the other build posted uses a LE330, has less armor, and has a different combat style. Given there are only 8 Number Seven builds in total I felt this build was different enough to not augment the other.

my mistake JJs weigh 1 ton on the CGR-N7. so it is possible to 3 JJ on my build with no TC as a variant. noted.
