Follow up with dakka, but watch your heat. You will probably win or be killed before you can use up all the ammo. Once the ammo is out, you are left with some pretty hot lasers. Definitely not the typically game in a non-meta dire wolf. The sun, stars and a bunch of moons all lined up...until the vindicator started running circles around me.
A bit Offtopic here: How often are you successful with this build or in any DW variant? I am just curious, I had a DW for some time and in 95% of the time I never could contribute to the team in terms of damage or armor sharing because I wasn't even able to get into a spot to do that. 48.6 is... Slow, especially when you are the size of a building.
It's definitely more dependant on if your team abandons you, but I don't find the DWF to be bad to play. It's fragile for it's weight, but it can pack a ridiculous punch.
If you try to follow your team, things tend to go poorly a lot more often. You may have to join the Nascar on lap two. This build is way too hot to be effective. Typically getting mid 400s for damage. Less if I get caught behind or try to help someone out of position. 8xAC2 should be able to position a lot easier and is cooler and should be getting 500+ consistently. 2xUAC10s and 3xUAC5s does well, but you are giving up a lot over a MCII-B for an extra UAC5. The other 'problem' for damage/match score is if the game starts to snowball, everyone faster than 48 kph will be jumping in front of you to get kills.
Just took a Dire Wolf out for a few matches with 1xUAC10 and 5xUAC5s to get some samples for you. First game was a stomp 12-2. 3 min 10 seconds 239 damage, 2 kills, 4 assists, only 229 damage taken. Tried to cut through the middle on Caustic and someone stepped in front of me and I had to move around and missed a lot of the game. Second game was a stomp 12-2. 3 minutes 22 seconds Very even damage through out the team. Third game was conquest in Tourmaline My lancemates were Kit Fox, Vindicator and a Stormcrow, which all went to cap and let me out in the open moving at full speed to the tail of our group. I took LRM and Large Laser hits in the first 15 seconds of the match and got left behind as the team ran around. Fought for my life and reverse nascar'd back to the middle and tried to make a game of it. We win 12-5 and I somehow survive at 6% (I think I should get a gold Dire Wolf - Prime for that - pretty sure that is a personal best for damage taken in a game by a DWF and will never be repeated in my lifetime). After playing with a Corsair for a while, I expect that to regularly soak 700+ damage in a match. If I am over 500 damage taken in a Dire Wolf, I am pretty happy. Or the enemy was farming damage hard. Pro-tip shoot the UAVs. In summary, expect the deck to be stacked against you and any piloting mistakes will often be instantly lethal. It does make the big wins that much sweeter.
