There are a lot of quad ERPPC clan mechs to compete with, and even without any quirks, the Marauder is no slouch. the -8 is a pretty good variant to run the quad ERPPC set up on:

I've been taking it out, and even without the quirks it is still quite good, even compared to the WHK-PRIME and WHM-IIC!

    Fire groups:
    1. left click - left two ERPPC's
    2. right click - right two ERPPC's
    3. Arm mounted PPC (for UAV's)
    4. Chainfire all, for riding the heat.

  2. Just for comparison to other quirkless PPC boats.

BAS isn't bad either if you don't mind slowing down to 64.8 kph.

I was looking at the MCII-1, for the 4 torso energy hardpoints. Plus the MCII has the possibility for jump jets:

The Blood Asp on paper looks like it also a decent platform for ERPPC boating, and I have seen them in-game before, but not often. You can't get four torso energy hardpoints without using a hero omnipod.

Arms on the -4 I won't argue, they're a viable option over the torso mounts on the -1 MCII. For extended range peaks over time; your arms have a tendency to get blown off. Especially on the MCII, if somebody lands a good hit on your arm they will realize it and try to follow up and strip half your firepower. The arms definitely give you some versatility in terms of shooting lights and UAV's, but for extended long range peaking engagements, going torsos is better.

On the Blood Asp, Woa. I know legs are relatively safe on the BAS due to its juicy side torsos and high mounds lending it to vertical peaking (keeping legs behind cover), but phew, stripping the legs down to only 45 armor is asking for trouble. I'd go for a less versatile, more conservative:

But it just... feels risky putting all your primary weapons into a single side torso. This is probably why you don't see many quad ERPPC Blood Asps out there. If building a quad peep Blood Asp, I'd stick with the BAS-A to get the quirks, even with the low wide arms. The chassis is probably a much better candidate for 2xERPPC, 2xGR instead of quad peeps:
