Interesting. I was originally going 2LL/1ML, but this seems like the better build to try first. I think I'd be willing to drop a little left arm armor for another JJ (or 1/2t ammo) though.
This is pretty much my plan to start on leveling this variant, as much to keep it different from the other two as anything (Doing PPC/3ML and 2x ERPPC on the other two). After getting masteried up and comfortable with the thing, will decide whether to keep the missiles or try for more crazy lasers. Either way, looks solid.
Its a nice solid fit for this variant but the small max engine cap really hurts it as your SRM's are pure brawler but you don't have the speed to mitigate the damage. In combination with the xl vulnerability you're praying they concentrate on someone else. Coincidentally, any match I've done decently in I've run out of ammo.
5/5, Excellent build, great fun to play. Edit: More Context! I have been running this build a bit, not even basic'd, and have found it to be most excellent. I've only lost my LL arm once but running around chest bumping missiles at people is fun too!
any reason why you would choose 2xSRM2 instead of a single SRM4? is it purely to mitigate loss of firepower should your CT innards get critted?
DPS EDIT: also, accuracy of the missiles, as you only have 100. They are backup, after all. Also, crit padding is great, but not super important in a light mech. That, and the ROF of the 2's is just a bit better than the 4's.
I'll pretend this is an every game occurrence... Decent build until you get caught by a good heavy or assault pilot.... then you're so slow that the IS XL spells DOOOOOOMMMMMMM...
5/5, Got a solo kill on both a DWF and a King Crab with this build. It took a lot of kiting, and I still don't know how it happened, but I call this the "Hundred Ton Takedown" now.
5/5, Another solid Vergere build. I like this build a lot and is used exclusively on this variant. The SRM2s over an SRM4 is a must, for fire rate!
