I use this instead. No jumpjets on a jumpjet mech is unfortunate. Every part can take one AC20 round, and frontal torso/legs can take a 30 pinpoint alpha.
In overall the idea is good, but i reworked it around a XL 255 engine, and with the spare tons i added armor to withstand a direct PPC hit anywhr and add 1JJ. Also dropped the DHS cause is mostly pointless, the energy attachment is in the torso, and u cant really fire it all the time. But that is obvious a choice of: "Im gonna save this 'Mech", or like me "im gonna grind the elites for the 5D".
This build is by far my favorite for the Spider, but I gotta have JJ so mine looks a lot like Auriga's.
