It would make sense that the mrm spread would be tighter as its the smallest version.

I'm glad you like it. There's plenty more where that came from.

Still couldn't resist to try a similar disruption kind of thing with a light engine, though the loss of DPS of going with RAC2s or just 1 RAC5 hurts a lot.

I had to downgrade mine to RAC2s because 2 tons of ammo for 2 RAC5s isn't nearly enough.

@Shock What do you consider to be the optimal for each RAC? AC and UAC i've figured out, but RAC always gives me either too much or too little ammo to work with.

I don't have an idea on optimal yet. My usage varies greatly from match to match depending on jams and whether I can fire without the face time getting me killed. I think it tracks pretty closely with stock ACs where 2 tons is minimum and 2.5 is usually better.

I recently tried 2 lbx10, mrm 30-40 got 1000 damage. The problem with the Rac5s is they generate a ridiculous 4 heat for every 5 damage. It's like you have a medium laser for every one of those bullets. It looks amazing on paper, but the heat is like getting ghost heat... Rotary 2's are worse. literally 1 less heat than the 5s. Run either uac5s or lbx10s. Or AC/10s too but those are pricey on tonnage. The higher you go on MRMs the more heat per damage you get back. So if you have the tonnage run some heavy MRM launchers (check ghost heat). They all have the same fire rate, the only difference is the spread of the missiles.

    Scale: |MRM10 + Low Tonnage | to |MRM40 + Better Heat Per damage|

I'd like to make the argument to PGI that rotary's do not support mixed weapons because of high heat output, but I'm sure it will sit right in the same stack as all the other suggestions I sent in the past. (Incursion made it somehow)

Not every bullet deals 5 damage, rather like 1.5. But yes, it has a lot of heat (which is understandable due to their sheer DPS when firing) a 33% reduction in heat is pretty good though you'll deal less damage. But RAC2s are more for annoyance than real damage anyway. RACs do fine supporting weapons that don't generate much heat of their own or are light enough to mount some DHS on the side. SRMs/SSRMs or ML/ERSL come to mind.

If I was able to play, I'd love to try out the single-RAC5 version. Deals the same DPS as 2RAC2 for less tonnage.

Tried it after I came up with the build. It started out amazing, but the heat reached 90% in like 5 seconds. Pretty bad for heat for barely 100 damage.
