This is what I WISH a Jager could do. Fully articulated arms with dual ballistics! Great heat efficiency, and, solid sustained DPS, quick moving and she still has vertical supremacy! I cannot wait to buy this and post my first 1k round! (Granted, for 1k, I will drop 1x JJ and add a ton of ammo) GET AT 'EM! Best Hero released in a looooong time! Chatt.
Playing around with a slightly smaller engine as I had a 255 XL on hand, 1 more JJ and 1 more ton of armour on the legs. Keep dropping the extra armour for a 4th jj or an extra ton of ammo as trying to feel out which I prefer.
As soon as I saw the hardpoints, I thought "That's what I wish I could do in a Jag." Don't get me wrong. The Jager is a perfect platform for it's design. Ballistic hardpoints mounted as high as possible to ridge-hump and throw lead downrange. However, the articulated arms on the QD make a ballistics platform in this weight class much more tuned for close engagement (see my Brawlolol build for a QD brawler)
According to the posting date this one seems to be earlier than the Big Stick. So I guess it is the other way around.
Bingo. Either way, I am really looking forward to next week when I actually have some free time to play this thing and post some screenshots of just how lethal it is!
lol, but you had articulated arms to shoot me as I went up and down the sides of the ridge in caustic (in his defense, a team lance came in and swarmed him at the end, haha). Best of luck getting your iv4 to work, this is one hero I'll be skipping!
I had high hopes for a Jager-type mech w/ articulated Ballistics... I'm disappointed so far. About 500 damage and 2-3 kills is the best I can pull out of this turd wagon... I can EASILY out preform this mech in a Jenner every round...
The 2x AC/10 on articulated arms is GREAT for anti-lights, however, the mech is much more suited to Jagers in my opinion...
Best round w/o Air/Arty. The best I've done... I have had a few 3-5 kill matches, but, nothing else over 500 damage without using Air/Arty...
WHOOOOOOA!!! Nevermind, my friends! Here is one DAMN fine non-consumable round! No Air Strikes, no Artillery Strikes. Just pure demolition!
You aren't wrong, sir... It's great to have the dual AC/10 on articulated arms for close fights, especially against lights. However, this mech is turning out to be a bit underwhelming. Not enough weight to really bring big ballistics, not fast enough to make up for the lighter chassis, nor does it bring much firepower with a STD engine for brawling. I did find the 2x AC5, 2x SRM4, 2x MLas, STD260 to be a better loadout, but, the CT is still big enough I don't feel I'm getting THAT much value from the STD engine... I'll toy around with it more, but, at this point, I'm remembering why I haven't spent any MC in so damn long.
New tech version with Light Ferro and 4 ton of ammo. AC10 DPS in insane (with maximum cooldown skills, it will fire them every 1,5 seconds) while ERML provide a bit of oomph both at range and short range, as well as compensate for AC10 atrocious convergence. _
