I initially used "Lillyeve's Ultimate Chainsaw of Dooooom!" build but some guy at 2 am last night said why not RAC5. So, here it is. Thanks jerk. If there's anywhere you could budge with the build its probably around the ammo and heatsinks. I found the ammo to be good with the skills in extra RAC ammo capacity (+60 for each). Anyway this is my first build and I would not call myself a great player by any means, but this thing melts. Regularly get 1000+ damage if I use most if not all of the ammo. Let me know what you think. Absolutely open to changes. ***DO NOT FIRE ALL RAC5 AT ONCE!!!! FIRE 2 AT A TIME! LEFT AND RIGHT!***
Interesting, I'll give it a try. On a side note, I would set a fire group with only the arm mounted RACs: it will come in handy when you have to flee and you can't point at your target with your torso, or when you have to shoot a fast light mech running around you.
Give us the play by play recount so those of us assaults that get left behind or blocked by lights and mediums using us for shields can live vicariously. Also, we blame all future nerfs on you. Sorry.
5/5, This build crushes! Most people shot RACs until they jam. Instead, keep a mental count of about 1 second for spin up and another 4 seconds to fill jam bar. At the 4th second start spooling up your second pair of RACs, rinse and repeat for non stop bullets!
I know it's been a while, but in case you're still here, did you group your quad RAC's left side / right side? Or did you group them torso / arms? What about everyone else that's run this?
I've never run it, but I can say for sure 3xRAC2 combo is better than 2xRAC5: better duration, better range, less heat generated, better projectile speed. If you really want to use a RAC assault, you should fit RAC2s
I've since bought my 2A and set it up with 6 RAC2's. When one set of 3 get hot, I switch to the other 3.
I’m want to try your build but can’t figure out how to get DHS and ammo in. Can you share your loadout? Thanks! Bill
