    • A lot of the clan weapons are trash, they are under preforming and need a buff.
    • Take a look into increasing ACCEL, DECEL on certain heavy mechs.
    • PLEASE NERF ARTY, AIRSTRIKES.
    • BAP shouldn't cancel stealth armor like ECM, 90m bro. 90! Meters!.
    • Airstrikes are better than rockets. It has minimum range of 50 m and one use. Can't even core out an assault with 4 of them from exact minimum range.
    • All the new lasers are the same color. Can't even tell if I'm getting shot by a different one. Kind of s****y"
    Recently added:
    • I would like to point out that shooting rac5s literally feel like it is the heat equivalent of having a rac5 that shoots medium lasers instead of bullets. RIP mixed weapons.

    Yeah, the official forums aren't the place to go for sensible discussion. For every reasonable person there's four morons whining that the latest patch or balance pass ruined the game forever. There's a reason I went through the trouble of joining the forums here instead.

    My opinion is that you need actual statistics to back up what you claim.

    Start with recording 1000 games for each weapon you claim is overpowered/underpowered.

    Also, you're rather vague with "check accel/decel on certain heavy mechs". Not having any trouble with my heavies, perhaps you could be more succinct?

    Yes, because the Night Gyr is in such horrid shape that they're practically garbage. Without a mobility buff they're useless target practice and nobody uses them anymore.

    My buddy wanted to return to MwO, he resigned when he saw in what shape is his Timber Wolf in terms of quirks... :(

    Timber Wolf doesn't really NEED quirks, though. With the Skill Tree; it's still one of the stronger Clan heavies, always has been.

    Also; balance is in flux with the new technologies. It needs time to settle down. If anything; some systems are overtuned and others are undertuned, but so many more mechs are viable now to my eyes. It's more balanced now than it has been for a while.

    I've been taking my Thunderbolts out with new tech. Not seeing any accel/decel problems.

    Lol to the Timby and Night Gyr comment though. They're having such a hard time. /s

    Got any hard info on the new tech being unbalanced yet? Or are we just taking it on your word?

    Maybe thunderbolt is better since engine desync but it used to be just the Top Dog that can move quickly.

    Thunderbolts aren't sluggish. Rockets are undertuned; but at the same time you had guys like theB33f one-shotting assaults with them on PTS.



    If anything; rockets need damage increased slightly, or spread tightened more; because while I enjoy using them on that stupid Locust build I shared, they don't quite have the punch outside of dedicated builds.

    I think if RLs were more effective when boated, there'd be an influx of troll builds:
    'dont worry guys I'm just going into 12 men to backshot their assaults. omg they killed me why did I have no support team!?'

    It's doing what its intended to do: add extra burst damage in a pinch for very few tons. I'd consider them a utility 'weapon' more like the AMS than other missile weapons. Not being able to one-shot most mechs from the back with just rocket launchers is a feature instead of a detriment imo.

    Yeah; that's fair. And I'll be honest, on my little Locust I've found them to be effective "get off my face" weapons, considering my only other weapon is a Light PPC. A good hit from two RL20s will take most of the armor off the front of quite a few Medium mechs; and can help finish off Heavies if I want to play hit & run.

    It's just a case of boating Rocket Launchers being something that happened in lore as well. A lot of Periphery "side-grade" variants ripped out more advanced weapons to cover sections of mech in Rocket Launchers. Case in point, the Commando-4H.

    I quote directly from Sarna:
    "The Marian Hegemony 4H variant of the Commando is used in the Periphery and removes all of the SRM launchers and replaces them with six Rocket Launcher 15s as well as a second Medium Laser."

    Now; that's a lot of RL15s; and it's also a variant that theoretically PGI could add. Hell; a lot of the older mechs lose out only in variability because of a lack of variants - all new mechs drop with five c-bill variants and at least one Hero now. So; for what it's worth, I think that the Rockets are a good utility for Light and Medium mechs as a secondary or tertiary weapons system; but I hope they don't really spread much heavier than that.

    I have 2 RL20s on my TDR-5S. It runs 3 heavily quirked LL, with tonnage to spare I used to run 2xSRM4 as a backup solution, but as I rarely use it continuously from staying at range, RL have longer range and a higher burst for when people try to get close, while gimping the possible DPS.

    It definitely has uses in bigger mechs as well :) MRM launchers may replace it at some point when they're too tonnage efficient for the really big mechs.

    Timberwolves are decent atm with the skilltree bonuses so curious on why they need boosts. My backup FW deck has 2 thunderbolts and I still find them solid mechs its just their hardpoints are so good they've steadily lost all bonuses which hurts with the skill tree.

    Not played my beloved dual gauss Night Gyr since the changes so no idea there.... ;)
