107 alpha, lots of frontal armor and pretty much none in the back, I tend to use this as a very close and personal mech. I average 600-700+ damage per battle if I don't get flanked by light mechs at the get go. I've been toe to toe with direwolfs and atlas's and kodiaks and killed them with a lot of luck. One alpha brings you to 77% heat so be careful. Have the C-SRM on chain fire when attempt to back off and wait to cool down. I have C-SRM cool down and range modules on as well so I can get just a wee bit closer. Even with this thing missing an entire side torso and arm, it is still able to pack a punch (Killed an atlas and a medium mech with myself preparing to hit crit damage in my torso) Be smart either move with a group and stay in cover, when you see an opening you can charge in and alpha, % of heat will be higher depending on the map so be very careful. And don't allow people to get behind you or GG Vorlon
Fixed your post. Named it, let me know if you want it changed. When you get the chance please read the sections: How do I post a Smurfy code on MechSpecs? How do I title the subject of my builds on MechSpecs? in the FAQ section Oh, nice first post, and welcome to MechSpecs!!!
Hmm, a bit too hot for my tastes. Maybe reduce the amount of ERML and add heatsinks instead? Of course it reduces the alpha, but the SRMS are the main thing anyway and they need some more heat dissipation so you can alpha twice and (hopefully) murder things before you overheat.
That is true but if I lose an arm, I like knowing I can still pack a punch, I can control my heat fine (Many of games with this build), yes I can not alpha a whole bunch but in general it works fine The important thing is that I have them there for when they are not close enough for SRM combat. Because you will have those games where they are not in your face or anywhere close to you, the lasers come quiet in handy to make them weaker. Vorlon
That's true, but people will rarely target your arms! Losing them it often a matter of losing a side torso, where the biggest loss is really the SRMs, or stray LRMs without cover. If you make sure to use the left side for shielding more naturally (as you would do in a warhawk for example), they should last as long or maybe even longer than a symmetric distribution! It comes down to preference, but I highly suggest trying out some asymmetric builds!
Like this! Still.... wouldn't mind seeing that heat efficiency up over 38% cant think of how to do it effectively though.
I reconfigured a tad and I came up with this I play it way more aggressive due to the short range of both weapons, i have done a few matches. Did one on grim and flanked around the entire map while the main forces engaged distracting them. I finally made it over, and I saw three different enemies, a Kodiak, TImber Wolf and an unknown firing missiles behind buildings. I alpha'd the kodiak twice and instantly killed it. He clearly was not using comms and the timber wolf did not turn around, I went for the Timber Wolf and fired two alpha's into his back and killed him I was not paying attention to heat however and overheated a tad, i should have been shooting 1 missle rack at a time. I ended up killing him just as I overheated, I died. The enemy team lost an assault and a heavy and we won. For the alpha itself, I use 4 srm 6's and ungroup the last two but fire all the small pulse lasers, its pretty effective. and has a 30% in heat and does not lower the alpha by to much. I am able to fire two alpha's back to back, and I can fire a 3rd but you will over heat #WorthitIfTheEnemyIsHurtAndYourAlone Also side note I got bored and decided to record me doing a few matches that I remembered to click record just as I about engaged Its so deadly as a flanker, I have been getting so many kills and damage its ridiculous, I recommend trying this 100% and just straight out flank around the entire map (As long as your team does not lemming around and not die) So much fun Vorlon
