Just looking at thread titles I haven't seen this specific build around, so I figured I'd give it a shot. This is still experimental: I built it, took it into the testing grounds, discovered (as I'd feared) that an alpha led to instant shutdown, and decided to try downsizing to Stashsolstar's 4x LLas version "Living Laser" instead. But even that version (presumably due to ghost heat) can only safely alpha twice these days before shutdown, at least when using a freshly-bought Stalker. So I figured to hell with it, and went back to my original concept: as much laser damage as I can pack in. I haven't had the CBills to finish rebuilding it back into this version yet, but once I do plan to set it up with the following weapon groups: 1: 2 left arm LLas 2: 2 right arm LLas 3: 2 torso LLas 4: both left and right arm lasers (4 LLas) So... opinions? Is this viable? Have the heat changes that took place before I started playing MWO left me with nothing but an empty dream of a gigantic laser-spewing death-machine? Can this be made better? I would appreciate any feedback. I'm still rather new to MWO, so don't expect me to be able to come in here with this and show you regular 1000 damage-scores done with this build. I consider it a good run if I even get 400 on any mech.
I know a friend who does this loadout. It can be deadly, but he does it with an XL engine. BTW, I like this better. so, 3-5 stars for using that STD engine.
I like this. I personally set up a chain fire for the four arm LLs then set up the other groupings to fire in pairs. If you control your fire so you don't incur stupid ghost heat it works well. It's what I'm currently running on my stalker.
New tech version: LE300 and TC1 with maximum DHS amount possible. _ With DHS buff and new tech, this build could be manageable: 46% cooling effieciency pre-skills seems very reasonable for a 6xLL boat
