Two heavy PPCs, 5 extra heat sinks (If you strip additional armor you can add another heat sink or TC1), and a 20.5 ton engine of your choice. XL 340 will get you going 91 kph, or you can drop to 81 kph with a light engine. Use Endo and light ferro.

Skill tree takes armor, taps 2 points into mobility tree for 3.5% boost to forward/backward Accel. Mandatory consumable point, then firepower and flavor to your wishes.

I suggest taking the XL to mitigate the minimum range. You won't be able to stop lights or fast mediums from closing, but it'll help with positioning.

    Welcome to mechspecs!

Be sure to read the FAQ
Make sure to edit your title with your current build (so other people can quickly see and search for your build)
    Correct title should be:
    DRG-FANG "Code Name Here" (2xHPPC, XL340)
FANG "Code Name Here" (2xHPPC, XL340)

TL;DR version: click "thread tools" on the upper right corner of your first post and then "edit title"

Also, don't forget to post your own build. You can use one of the following:
    Once you created your build:
    • click on "share" or "save"
    • copy the link (it will look something like this:
      Code:
      https://mech.nav-alpha.com/#92e9d920_DRG-FANG
    • click on Mechspecs "media" text tool button, between "image" and "insert..."
    • paste your link
You will insert something like this
    Code:
    [MEDIA=mechdb]92e9d920_DRG-FANG[/MEDIA]

About the skill tree, I use MWO Skills Grid (https://kitlaan.gitlab.io/mwoskill/), you can either export a link or generate a full image. As I'm writing, it seems you can't create links anymore (it has some issues using an external tool) but you can download an image and link it here.
Old link: PPC only (37 nodes) skill tree.

Last but not least, hardpoint location and lack of JJs do not appeal that much... Grasshopper or a shadow hawk can achieve a very similar or identical build with higher hardpoints and JJs, so you can safely poptart (jump and shoot over your cover while falling to minimize exposure)

    Thanks for the tips.

I'm aware that there are better mechs, but lets face it. There are always better mechs than a dragon for any build. I was just trying to find something that worked.
