Saw a Madcat-Deathstrike, with just 6 cMPLs, and an AMS. Had to wonder why he would ever put such a low-powered build on such an enormous Chassis. He was obviously fast and had great heat efficiency, but for real: he could have brought a pair of Gauss along with those MPLs.
I'm really not sure how he's going that slow though. The minimum engine for an Annihilator-2A is a 200, which even without any speed-tweak skills still goes 32.4 kph. Maybe the number in the screenshot isn't actually representing top speed, maybe he was building up? It looks pretty darn maxed though. And there's no way he's running a LE with 6xLBX10, as there aren't enough slots to do so. Has to be standard. Anyway, here's the best I can do to come up with something like that. You can use DHS if you don't use LFF, but then you have to lose a fair bit more armor. That speed thing still bugs me though.
Ha! Reminds me of MW4, when I'd get frustrated with a mission and just turn off heat, ammo and make myself invulnerable and build something with nothing but weapons!
not enough slots for LFE and then your throttle gets stuck at 75%, but lower than a STD200 is impossible... very weird.
It can't be a Light Engine, period. Here's why: That is a screenshot of me running a LE300, with one torso blown off (took 3 tries in testing grounds, but I got it done ), running at maximum speed. And notice the speed-bar: when you lose a side torso with a Light Engine, your speed-bar will never hit the top, because it visually accounts for the reduced speed. Having said that, below is another screenshot of me in an Annihilator, with a STD200 engine, in testing grounds. I put myself at 27.1 kph (that took longer to line up than losing a side torso in the Thunderbolt did!) and that's what the speed-bar looks like. It's nowhere near the top. But in the screenshot Shock posted earlier, the guy's speed-bar is essentially at the max (whether it's at 95% or whatever, it's still very near maxed) and somehow he's only going 27.1 kph. And as I demonstrated above, it can't possibly be a Light Engine even if he somehow hacked the slot requirements: his speed bar wouldn't be near maxed if he was running a LE. BUT HAVING SAID ALL THAT, I do actually know what happened here. I know how Shock's screenshot shows the guy only going 27.1 kph. And it's because the screenshot was taken AFTER the guy was already killed. When you die, your speed bar goes nuts, generally dropping in leaps and bounds down to zero, though it'll even skip back up occasionally too. It's very random. Here's a screenshot of me demonstrating it in testing grounds (annoyingly it brings up the ESC screen immediately once you die in testing grounds, but anyway): This is with a STD285 by the way, and it shows my throttle at maximum speed, as it was. But once I exploded and died, my speed dropped drastically, apparently hitting 15.8 at the point I hit the screenshot key.
With 6 LBX10, you have to have 2 in each torso, filling up all available slots. You can't put an LFE in there as well. Nice job on the speedometer forensics though. That's top notch research
2 TAGs, in case he loses one side. He'll still be able to break ECM and rain glorious suffering with his single remaining LRM20+A --- which apparently he didn't bring enough ammo for.
Ran into this on solaris (approximate build). Slow compared to my Zeus but still running XL and ammo in the arms (killed him with ammo explosions from the right arm once).
